May 23, 2021· I run jobs like that on a shaper or planer, initially. Then move to the mill for the fiddly features and pockets, or drilling. Cobalt bits last for a fair section of cut, and if/when they dull, it is a quick job on the pedestal grinder to shape them up again. Also made a carbide insert stick tool (APKT IIRC) for the really nasty jobs.
